April 2015 – I’m preparing to go to the ASCAP Expo for music creators in Hollywood – so excited! In the meantime, Caleb Henry is putting together a demo of But I Got You and She Chose Me, since we haven’t produced those in the studio yet but I want to present them to publishers, if possible. This is the first year I’ve done anything with my lyrics, and I am hitting the ground running!
March 4, 2015 – Used to Be is now available for purchase on iTunes and CD Baby! Please listen, purchase and post a review. Thanks for your support!
February 21, 2015 – My first produced song, and collaborator Caleb Henry’s debut single Used to Be is recorded, mixed, mastered, and ready to go! We just finished the cover art and are finishing behind-the-scenes administrative stuff (not the fun part of the music business) to get them registered and readied for release on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and other distribution channels for you to download and enjoy! Stay tuned for news of their release in early March.
January 3, 2015 – We had an amazing day recording Used to Be at Tommy Lee’s Atrium Studio in Calabasas, CA! Caleb Henry is an amazing co-writer, musician and vocalist, and I am so blessed to collaborate with him. It was a 12-hour day of hard work from the band and I hope we can get back in the studio again soon. Special thanks our talented sound engineer Smiley Sean and to the incredible musicians: Caleb Henry (vocals, guitar), Micah Herman (bass), and Kolten Knaub (my son! drums).
December 2014 It’s time to dust this box of lyrics off and get some put to music. I’m collaborating with musician and vocalist Caleb Henry to breathe life into the words I wrote, and it has been such a joyful process! I never did anything with my lyrics before because I didn’t know what to do with them, or if they were good enough to take further. Now, I realize what happens after isn’t as important as the joy of the process. It really isn’t. The journey is so fulfilling. I am tending my internal garden and having so much fun!
